Under its Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship pillar, the EmPOvia47 Foundation equips young people across Kenya’s 47 counties with the skills, resources, and opportunities to achieve economic independence and drive inclusive growth. We believe that youth are not just job seekers but job creators capable of transforming their ideas into sustainable enterprises that strengthen local economies. Through targeted training, access to finance, mentorship, and innovation-driven programs, we help youth build resilience, embrace creativity, and participate actively in Kenya’s growing economy. By fostering entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and market linkages, we aim to cultivate a generation of youth who lead with enterprise, uplift their communities, and contribute to national prosperity.
Key Initiatives
Establish youth innovation and business incubation centers in all 47 counties to provide entrepreneurship training, mentorship, digital resources, and market access.
Support young entrepreneurs with seed funding, business development support, and professional mentorship to grow scalable, youth-led enterprises.
Promote financial education and inclusion among youth, empowering them to manage resources effectively, access financial services, and make informed investment decisions.
Empower youth in agriculture through agribusiness training, value chain development, and access to agri-financing and modern technologies for sustainable livelihoods.
Champion gender-inclusive entrepreneurship by providing women and young people with tailored business support, networking opportunities, and access to procurement and funding platforms.
