Under its Youth Leadership, Civic Education & Advocacy pillar, the EmPOvia47 Foundation empowers young people across Kenya’s 47 counties to become informed, responsible, and visionary leaders. We believe that sustainable national progress depends on an active and engaged citizenry where youth understand their rights, fulfill their responsibilities, and contribute meaningfully to governance and community development. Through leadership training, civic education programs, and youth-led advocacy initiatives, we nurture integrity, accountability, and public participation. By building leadership capacity at the grassroots level, we aim to create a generation of youth who can influence policy, promote transparency, and drive inclusive decision-making ensuring that young voices shape Kenya’s social, political, and economic future.
Key Initiatives
Establish leadership training hubs across all 47 counties to build youth capacity in governance, ethics, communication, and public service, preparing them for active civic participation and leadership roles.
Launch widespread awareness programs to educate young people on constitutional rights, democratic processes, and social accountability, fostering informed and responsible citizenship.
